CleanYourTV (formerly tv-vibehack)
CleanYourTV is the open-source project previously called tv-vibehack. Its README records the name change on October 19, 2026. Created by Gathin23, it combines TV debloat tooling, per-model package lists and a custom Android TV launcher. tvdebloat.com is an independent reference site, not the official project.

What CleanYourTV does
A prompt file (PROMPT.md), a small native Android TV launcher, a pure-Python ADB client, and
per-model debloat lists make up the project. Its documented workflow uses a shell-enabled coding
assistant to record installed packages and settings, disable selected apps over ADB, then build and
install a replacement launcher. You review which features and apps to keep along the way.
The debloat step uses pm disable-user rather than uninstalling system packages. Launcher
installation is a separate operation; the complete workflow does more than disable apps. The project
describes a no-root, no-flashing approach, but recovery still depends on the device and the access you retain.
Choose the workflow that fits your task
- Use the upstream assistant workflow: read the official setup instructions and PROMPT.md for the project's discovery, debloat and launcher steps. Review proposed changes before execution.
- Review and run ADB commands yourself: use this site's device lists and ADB setup and recovery guide, then export your selection with the script generator. This site does not connect to your TV, discover installed apps or install a launcher.
Device lists currently included on tvdebloat
This site currently includes 20 source-derived device lists, a subset of the upstream project. Package descriptions, list risk ratings and restore commands help you review a selection; they are not independent compatibility tests. Match your exact model and firmware before using any list.

Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV support
The upstream project's main workflow targets Android TV and Google TV. Its README also describes debloat-only support for some Fire TV devices, with launcher restrictions on Fire OS. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS do not use the Android TV workflow. This site's current lists and generator cover only the Android TV and Google TV models listed above; upstream support does not imply support here.
Safety notes
- Disabling essential services can make a TV unusable until a factory reset — read each package's risk level first.
- Save the exact package selection and matching restore commands before making changes. A package inventory is not a system backup.
- Re-enabling packages requires ADB or settings access. If both are lost, follow the manufacturer's recovery instructions; a factory reset erases user data.
- Install and verify a replacement launcher before disabling the stock Home app. This site's generator does not perform that installation.
